RCP Import Sizing

Recommended Posts

When importing an RCP of an exhibit floor, if its in a PDF format, is there a way, once its imported, to size it properly by drawing a rectangle around the specific booth that you know the dimensions of and have it size the entire RCP properly based off those measurements? Thank you.

You would need to scale the PDF to the correct size using the 3D dragger or the Scale Objects Command.

Alternatively, you could convert the PDF to an image, and then import the Image as an Image Resource. If you apply the Image Fill to the Rectangle, then all you would need to do is use the Attribute mapping tool to scale it to the boundary of the rectangle.

I do this all the time.

Make sure 'Snap to geometry' is selected when you import you PDF page, this makes it easier if the PDF is in a vector format.

Select the imported page then use the 'Scale objects' command and 'symmetric by distance'.  Grab a known measurement from your PDF page (handily they usually label ethe booth sizes) then enter the actual size in you document units in the next box.
