Iainy1
I'm trying to 'bend' some text to a curved backdrop in a 3D situation. I have tried extruding the text, turning it into a generic solid etc.I have also tried following various workflows, deform tool, text to path etc but none seem to work. Is there a tried and true step by step workflow that anyone could explain to me please? Thank you x Quote Link to comment
Tom W.
Have a look at 'Text Along Path...' command: https://app-help.vectorworks.net/2023/eng/VW2023_Guide/Text/Creating_text_along_a_path.htm?rhsearch=Text along path&rhhlterm=text along path You'll need to enter 90 in the 'Rot About Path' box for the Text Along Path object. 1 Quote Link to comment
markdd
The Create Text along a Path Command is great for this. There is, however, a BUT! The 3D letters that are made are flat. This workflow will bend the letters as well so that you have a completely curved object. Edited April 8 by markdd 3 Quote Link to comment
