VW Crash when plotting to HP 755CM

C Morrison

Question

Is there a patch / fix from apple / HP / or VW for plotting problems using Mac OS 10.3 and VW 10.5 and HP Designjet 755 CM plotters? I have sent this to apple but I am not holding my breath! Crash details as follows.

Thanks

YOu want to start with checking for a bad font, duplicate fonts, or incomplete font suitcases.

Font Doctor is a good program to do this. YOu can download a trial version of it at versiontracker.com.

Font problems will cause printing problems, including crashes, dropped objects, jumbled fonts, an ps stream errors in the print center.

Also, if you have copied MMX fonts from OS 9 to OS 10, they can cause the crashing. MMX fonts are NOT supported under OS 10. If you have these, you'll need to purchase a TT or PS font type from Adobe for OS 10.
