Periodically the text in door/win id tags disappearing

This is new on me. Periodically the text in my door/win ID tags is disappearing. If I remove the door or window from the wall and then reinsert it, it appears. I've restarted my Mac and in-turn VWX. No change. Anyone? Hard to imagine constantly having to do this to 100 doors and windows

What I thought was a loci in the center when the tag appears blank is actually an extremely tiny text. Not sure what action is being taken to result in this periodically. And I don't understand why removing them from a wall and re-inserting them brings them back to their original text. But I can use a quick custom selection and increase the size to normal as needed. Chalking it up to a big in the file, perhaps. I did after all recently share a posting about the ID tag text reversing... had to replace all pf those and sometimes the associated wall

Another option for 'resetting' the Windows might be to edit the style: select one of the Windows, select Edit Style then click OK in the dialog to immediately exit again. All instances of that style should be reset. But presumably the built-in ID tag's days are numbered + at some point soon will be removed so perhaps it's time to make the switch to Data Tags...?
