Freelance Vectorworks Designer (Live Event Technical Drawings and Set Design)

We’re looking for a Freelance Vectorworks Designer to create technical drawings and 3D scenic design and renderings for sales conferences with an entertainment component (high-energy general sessions, awards, walk-ons, show openers). Preference for US West Coast based designers, although all will be considered.

 

What you’ll do:

Develop technical drawings referencing audio, video, lighting and power.

Design 3D Vectorworks models for live event stages, scenic elements, truss, and LED environments

Produce presentation-quality renders for client and internal reviews

Incorporate lighting concepts into scenic designs, considering sightlines, scale, and show moments

Translate creative direction into accurate, build-ready layouts

 

What we’re looking for:

Strong proficiency in Vectorworks Spotlight

Experience designing corporate sales conferences or similar live events

Solid understanding of lighting integration for stage and scenic environments

Ability to work quickly, iterate efficiently, and collaborate with creative and production teams

Deliverables

Vectorworks (.vwx) files

3D rendered views (hero angles and key perspectives)

Basic ground plans and elevations as needed
