patterns vanish

The PC in our office has developed a problem printing to our HP DeskJet 1220c. Patterns do not show up, even in print preview. The "print patterns at screen resolution" box is checked. It appears that the print driver is v.4. Any suggestions?

The HP 1220c should be using version 2.1 as the driver. They don't have a version 4. anything for that printer.

Chances are, you are using the MS built in driver or the original driver that came with the printer by the explaination of the problem.

If you email me, I can email you the HP DeskJet 1220c 2.1 driver. THis driver is temporarily not available for download on the HP website. THe version that is available - 2.0 - will cause VW and other applications to crash when acessing the Print menu.
