Printing out of house

Hello,

we are about to start printing vectorworks files out of house on a larger scale(bigger projects) and am wondering what vectorworks recommends as the best way to do this? Is it using the VW10 viewer or pdf files...or something else? We are running VW10 on Macintosh, i'm assuming the printers will be using PC's....Thanks in advance.

If you want to use the Viewer, you will not be able to send files rendered with RenderWorks for them to print.

The Viewer can only view files in wirefram, open gl or any of the polygon shaders. It cannot open files saved in rendered mode using any of the render works rendering engine.

If you are going to be sending files rendered with RenderWorks, PDF would be the ideal way to go. It's pretty painless and pretty acurate.

You should check with your print bureau of choice ahead of time. Often times they will only take an image file such as TIFF, PDF, PS or PLT or PRN file.
