Thank you for the additional information and observations.  I have not had an opportunity to review Publish and will have a look soon.  Is Publish something that was working without issue also in 2026 Update 1 or you were seeing similar performance?

No, the same problem persists in SP1.

I am unsure whether downgrading resulted in a 'clean' SP1 installation. However, I am noticing the exact same issue in SP1."

Tested today. Having 76 Robe Spiider Fixtures, selecting all of them and change the GDTF File takes more then a minute in Vectorworks 2026 Update 2.

It takes a long time before you can edit fixture data in the OIP. When ready it takes a Hugh time to get the GDTF window for choosing the mode. And then again after selecting the mode it takes a long time before you can go to the next fixture selection.....

Exported the drawing to Vectorworks 2025, the same action takes 15 seconds in Vectorworks 2025.

Really hope that there will be a fix very soon.......

Running MacBook Pro M1

Cheers,

Here, exporting a simple A0 sheet to dwg takes more than 40 minutes!
It drives me crazy!

I am finding that update 2 crashes a lot. Like in the bad old days of VW. 2025 in comparison felt pretty stable. It's nearly always when working on sheet layers and/or annotation space.

I don't notice any zoom lag as such ... except that zooming in and out feels glitchy when in annotation space. Very often, objects lose their selection handles and I have to zoom in or out to make them reappear. This might be limited to large / complex files. I've tried to replicate it in a smaller test file but haven't been able to make it happen consistently.

Major problem here too..... with 2026 sp2

The problem was solved!  They spent two days looking for it before they realized they had to clear the cache.  Apparently, uninstalling the app didn't delete those folders, so they had to be deleted separately.  Somewhere in the logs, there were indications that the cache was causing a conflict. It tried to use old files, possibly from the previous version, and therefore failed.  This is what the IT department told me.

ecxept...Incorrect information.  During the test phase, I opened the wrong version, i.e., Fundamentals.   Landmark still won't open, so the problem persists.

Also experiencing considerable lag when selecting multiple lighting devices.  It appears to be compounded based on the count, maybe?  Selecting a single includes about a second lag. Choosing 9 is like 4-5 seconds.  Selecting 20 is closer to 10 seconds.

Just to add more details about the slow selection.
This issue is specifically with selecting lighting devices when the file contains GDTF resources.
If your file doe not contain GDTF resources you should not be experiencing slowdowns when selecting the lighting device.

I am also experiencing issues similar issues with Spotlight. The following tools are very slow for me-

- Selecting multiple fixtures either indiviually or with the select simlar tool

- Opening the GDTF fixure mode menu and confirming selection (30 seconds for each of these commands)

- Confirming a new DMX patch in the DMX patch window (this took 45 minues in one of my documents)

- Using the numbering tool (20 seconds per fixture)

- Replace lighting device from OIP (30 seconds)

Hi everyone,

We have just released 2026 update 2.1 that will address the slowdown issue when you select a lighting device.  Thanks for providing info and please let us know if you have any other questions.

@Ian Lane

After a quick check this update is working a treat. Thank you

I'm also having BRUTALLY slow performance at times, particularly in regard to plants.

Moving or changing any aspect of a group of plants symbols causes minutes of waiting.

Depends on the file...

The fix for the lighting device slowdown is unrelated to anything with plants.  This is not an issue that I am aware of.  Please send me a file and some directions for how to reproduce the issue and I will get the team to investigate, thanks!

The Landmark team is aware of this slowdown with grouping plants and they are investigating the issue.  No need to send anything else.

We are also experiencing major problems with VW 2026 SP 2, although we started to experience some issues under SP1 as well I think. Shared files do not sync correctly in Dropbox and flat-out crash out in VW Cloud services. Many other glitches. Elements such as detail callout crop objects are locking, uneditable. Detail drawing label objects jumping around. Crop objects disappearing. Working files showing at different stages on different workstations despite appearing to be fully synced in dropbox.

This is disastrous. We may have to do an emergency switch back to 2025 until VW gets this under control. Right now we cannot work.

We also just made the switch to Subscription from Service Select... hope that wasn't a mistake.

I'm sorry to hear this.  Have you submitted any bugs about this or contacted tech support to figure out what is going on?  If so can you send me the bug numbers or more information?  I am not aware of any specific issues but I do not directly work on these areas.  If you have not submitted anything yet, please feel free to send me any files in a private message and I can make sure that the engineering teams responsible will investigate these issues.  Thanks!
