shyamsundar
I have downloaded a texture image from textures.com to create a texture in VW. After creating a texture using the downloaded image. While applying on the model the texture is not applied seamlessly on the surface. Kindly, May I know how i can create create a texture seamlessly by importing the download image? rDesign
Making this texture seamlessly tile will take some effort outside of Vw using either Photoshop or some other similar image editing software. Personally I would recommend finding a different, better texture which tiles seamlessly instead of spending time trying to fix this one. But, if you want to fix it, here are the general issues with it preventing tiling. [See my sketched annotations on your texture below]. 1. The green lines show the texture grain converging towards the top, so to fix this you’ll need to correct the parallax in Photoshop (or other). 2. The image is dark on the left side and is light on the right side, which again you’ll need Photoshop (or other) to correct. Edited November 4 by rDesign 2 Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Dave Donley Posted November 4 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted November 4 I can get the image to repeat seamlessly using the AI Visualizer and importing the image as a style, using walnut veneer paneling for the prompt. But the light and dark parts of the image are obvious when repeated. 2 Quote Link to comment
AlanW
@shyamsundar Hi you need to use photohp to adjust the light and dark sides to be the same. I often use the Clone Stamp tool to copy one side to the other. HTH 2 Quote Link to comment

Vectorworks, Inc Employee Dave Donley Posted November 6 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted November 6 I haven't see ChatGPT or Gemini or Qwen produce an image truly without seams. If you use the image as an image fill and zoom in do you see seams? 1 Quote Link to comment
EAlexander
Not to rain on the AI trials, but there are free seamless options out there: https://ambientcg.com/ I haven't had much luck getting any AI engine to do truly seamless stuff. 2 Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Dave Donley Posted November 6 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted November 6 Those are great quality and it's also great that they are a free resource. Searched for "walnut" and got zero hits. The VW AI Visualizer actually does seamless, this uses SDXL with "tiling" on (uses a special circular VAE to do it). I know with this option on the image results are sometimes not good enough. The new models do not seem to have this capability built-in, despite being able to do many more great things with higher quality. 2 Quote Link to comment
