kopacabana73
Hello, I try to find a solution for positionning datatag arrow on linked object. My workaround : For creating Datatags, I select them on my scene and after I use "Valid selected objects". Datatags are centered on my objects. That's fine ! But sometimes, I need to move my arrow for a better reading... When I try manually, all objects around interfer (see attached images > forumA_02 and forumA_03). May be there is a solution for interact only with my selected object, but I don't find how ! If you know a solution, it's really nice... Otherwise, I try to change position offset with "AutoPlacement" (see attached image > forumA_01), but I don't understand how to use it. Is it possible to change offsetX and offsetY directly in OIP for my Datatag ??? Thanks for your help and sorry for my poor english 🙂 Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Nikolay Zhelyazkov Posted October 30 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted October 30 Hello @kopacabana73, The auto placement options are used only for the data tag tool when in All/Selected Eligible Objects modes and they define the position of the tag and not the leader end. It seems like you want to adjust the leader end. The leader end also functions as a point for reassociation and that is why you get the highlight on other eligible objects when you move it. What you can do is insert the data tags with Single Eligible Object mode of the data tag tool and make sure that the leader end is where you want it. Another way to avoid the reassociation on moving the leader end is to use Tab to open the floating data bar and enter the exact coordinates or offset there while moving the leader end point. Let me know if this helps. Best Regards, Nikolay Zhelyazkov Quote Link to comment
