kklik
I have been experimenting with redshift render mode and can't seem to find a way of getting the lights in my scene to show up. It's a simple scene with just one directional light to resemble sunlight and one point light to light the interior. Attached two renders - one using Realistic Interior Final and the other using Redshift Interior Final. Both use a HDRI white background Switching between Environment and Ambient lighting doesn't make a difference. I'm assuming I am missing something fundamental in how my scene or lighting objects should be set up but can't find any specific tutorials online or here. Any suggestions would be appreciated. bcd
It may be the glass texture is blocking them or they're not bright enough. Try turning it off and turning the brightness up. 1 Quote Link to comment

kklik
Thanks for the replies. There isn't actually a glass textures as there are no 'window panes' in the 'Frames' Turning up the brightness is part of the problem. Setting my directional light to emit at 100000 lux didn't work. Even using the camera exposure settings the redshift render doesn't get any brighter, but I think I've just stumbled across the answer: My lights were set to 'Use Emitters' and once I turned this off and left the brightness at 100% they appeared. I wish there was a bit more help available for these new features and you don't have to revert to your inner child and try pressing all the buttons to see what happens. I think I wasted 4 hours yesterday trying to figure this out. Edited October 29 by kklik 2 Quote Link to comment
