VW 2025 & 2026 Custom Tools Issues

I'm rebuilding VW 2026 like suggested instead migrating my 2025 settings & trying to remake my Custom Tools. In both 2025 & 2026 after running the script to use a certain class, constraint,& tool, it is not leaving the class to where I was when using the custom tool. In 2024 it does like I have always used them.

 

Anyone else having this happen? 

 

Another Custom Tool question, in the tutorials to create one says to selected the Class, Tool, Constraint, Pen thickness-type-color. With the class already being set for Pen type, thickness, & color; why do you need to set these when creating the Custom Tool?

UPDATE in the effort to keep trying things to see if there is a work-around, I've noticed the active class selected is not displayed correctly between the ribbon across the top & the Navigation pallet. When changing the active class in the ribbon above it does not change in the Navigation pallet.

I just tried it on a Mac and changing the active class in either location changed it in both locations.

 

What happens if you try one of the default workspaces?  

 

Or Restart VW?
