Cristiano Alves
Hello everyone, Can someone help me find people in 3D, in order to avoid using the "plans" available in the default Vectorworks library? I need a complete band (individual elements) and a DJ. I could import from SketchUp (that's what I already do), but I get too much garbage inside the objects of my project. Thank you so much Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee JustinVanHassel Posted September 11, 2025 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted September 11, 2025 Turbo Squid has some nice DJ setups on their site but unfortunately they are not free. I just searched DJ in their search dialog and returned over 1,000 options. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Dave Donley Posted September 11, 2025 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted September 11, 2025 This is a nerdy option but you might play with a combination of AI image of band member converted to 3D textured model. Generate an image of the band member using the AI Visualizer, then take that image here: https://huggingface.co/spaces/trellis-community/TRELLIS This produces a GLB file, which can be imported into Vectorworks by adding the Debug/Import glTF/glb menu item to your workspace. That menu item is listed in the Debug category but it works fine for this purpose. Scale 3D to get them to be a plausible size. HTH This tool is also at Microsoft Copilot Labs (I couldn't get my login to work) https://copilot.microsoft.com/labs/experiments/copilot-3d Guitarist.vwx 1 Quote Link to comment

My question is more related to the fact that I try to understand what kind of solids I can import to VectorWorks that do not leave me the project full of small components in the library (as it happens with SketchUp. It's just that in addition, the models are very heavy, and make the work not very fluid. Quote Link to comment
VIRTUALENVIRONS
How detailed do you need? I have some figures I use, man, woman and child that you articulate in VW's. The figure on left is the same model, only the arm is out. They look fine from the 10th row. Quote Link to comment

Figures like the image are ok for me! Quote Link to comment
VIRTUALENVIRONS
Ok, to articulate them, group the joints you want to move and rotate. I posted these several years ago and the comments were not very kind. ARTICULATING MAle.vwxARTICULATING FEMALE.vwx Quote Link to comment
VIRTUALENVIRONS
@Cristiano Alves How is use them is usually in motion. Even though you can see they are simple, when you move them and their lips move, compared to static images, they appear much more authentic. See below Quote Link to comment
