Automatic positoning palettes when changing from 1 to 2 screens & vice versa

Using my PowerBook, I like my drawing with margins right + compact palettes organised in the right margin.

Using my PowerBook with a second screen, I like my drawing without margins + extended palettes organised in the second screen.

Is there a script command to make the palettes appear at a fixed XY-position of the screen?

Is there a script command to go to preferences / VWpreferences / sessiong / margins?

Is it possible to link these scripts to the workspace?

Try using two different workspaces:

- set up one for your powebook as you want it

- edit a copy of this workspace and change the pallettes to as you want them and where you want them.

If I have understood your query correctly this will give you what you want. All you will have to do is change your workspace depending on which mode you are working in.
