Shortcut with script for "refresh viewport"

someone here helped me with a shortcut for this feature which ha no basic shortcut option.

 

now i ask myself whether it is possible to do the same thing for reshing a viewport

There are already the Update Viewports and Update Selected Viewports commands. If these are what you need, then you can add a shortcut to these commands using the Workspace Manager.

i searched for it in the vwx 2023 and i didtn found them, maybe i am blind, thanks al ot

Press the F key and use the search function....

I wrote this plug-in a couple of years ago that should do the trick.

this is very great  but how to make it refresh without clicking the mouse?? think i should read the first response .. 😮 thx all its done i think

 

i try to avoid using the fu** mouse because its slow and not accurate. i am a power user and disklike using the mouse when i can use a shortcut.

 

so i only do shortcuts all the time and get a speed 10 times faster then any other user using the mouse for clicking tools or whatelse.

ahh ok, now i sdee its working. problem was, u dont see the refreshed viewport.

 

after restarting your plugin i see they are refreshed.

 

dont know why this is buggy in 2025

 

thx a lot its selecting all unrefreshed and refreshing all but i have to restart your script to make it visible

There was some kind of change starting in VW2024 when it comes to updating Viewports via script.  Unfortunately, it results in the Viewport not actually redrawing despite being updated.  Thankfully, it was an easy fix (force the Viewport to move with an offset of 0.  Doesn't technically move but will force the Viewport to redraw).  The plug-in has been updated in my Manager plug-in.

 

There is a bug that popped up in VW2023 where Lighting Device objects won't display proper pan and tilt in Viewports updated with this command.  I haven't been able to find a fix for it.
