pfalvi
Hey all! I'm playing with showcase at the moment, and overall I'm surprised with how well it's working. Some things seem to be going swimmingly! I'm currently experiencing issues with pan and tilt inversions. I was programming lights in the actual venue, and got the pan and tilts going the directions I needed, which included inverting some, etc. Now that I load it in to Showcase to attempt to do some more offsite programming, the inversions don't seem to make sense. I tried going in and mirroring the 3D or rotating it, and that helped some things, but not all of it. Currently I'm seeing this in Proteus Rayzor 760s, SolaFrame 1000s and 3000s. Is there a way we can invert this per unit so that it matches what we need to do in programming? Thanks! 2 Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee jschulman Posted June 3, 2025 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted June 3, 2025 Hi @pfalviThis is great feedback. We have discussed including inverting pan/tilt per fixture in the past, and this adds to the argument. Thank you! 2 Quote Link to comment

Just to add that it's the rare show I don't have some pan | tilt inversion going & this addition to Showcase would make it much more appealing Quote Link to comment
pfalvi
Thanks for your quick response @jschulman! I'm with @mjm, very seldom am I going to have no inversions, or all by fixture type. Can you think of any stopgap workarounds for this until that shows up? 1 Quote Link to comment
jakeonlights
Just wanted to add my voice for this feature request! P/T invert in the DMX Patch would be fantastic, and I'm struggling to use Showcase with my current file without it. 1 Quote Link to comment
