39Tech
Here is a sample file I have had all of my 12" truss failing this simple calculation. I didn't BWX pref for this run. is this in the knew settings? I didn't have any problems with 4. Tomcat Fail calc .vwx I did submit the OF file through the support link. I am away from my beta version to test there on the road at the moment. thanks. Edited May 24, 2025 by 39Tech Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Scott C. Parker Posted May 25, 2025 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted May 25, 2025 I'm not seeing the same issue. What settings are in your braceworks preferences? Quote Link to comment
39Tech
even with these settings Or the stock settings it would cause the failure. I was working in a different drawing and Tyler Truss stopped work which makes me think I a have a software problem. Going to the do a software restore. Just finding it a weird set of circumstances. What does the DZZ Not Right Support error mean. Yeah so I completed the software repair and still having the problems. Did a library refresh and no change. So I am confused. Thnx- Edited May 26, 2025 by 39Tech Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee jcogdell Posted May 27, 2025 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted May 27, 2025 I don't think this has anything to do with the calculation settings, the XX, YY look like they are something to do with the truss cross section data, are you using a custom cross section? I can't tell by looking in your file since custom cross sections do not get exported with a file since they are locked to the computer they were created on. As @Scott C. Parker said I can't reproduce the issue either but that would be expected if its a corrupted cross section that's causing the problem. If you arn't using a custom cross section its possible that the cross section database for Bracworks has gotten corupted or damaged, It should be in application folder\Plug-Ins\VW_Spotlight\Data\Braceworks Try replacing it and see if that helps Quote Link to comment
39Tech
Thank you guys for looking in to this. I will see what I can figure out with Cross section data. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee JustinVanHassel Posted May 27, 2025 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted May 27, 2025 @39TechAre you using the shipped Rigid Cross Section data that was linked to the Tomcat truss or did you make a custom cross section or even a custom cross section XML file? LMorga
I have seen this before I don’t remember exactly when. But I think it is a symbol level issue. Quote Link to comment
