Pdf not displaying for some users

Laura Stone

Question

I've had a number of people saying that pdfs I send aren't displaying properly.  They display fine for me in Adobe Acrobat or Preview (I am on Mac OS 15.4.1).

Any tips on exporting from VW to avoid this issue?

Screen grabs that i have been sent and my own below

Thanks

I found a similar thread to your question (link below).

  1. My guess would be that the texture you are using for the missing texture beds is memory intensive and is failing to fully render in the PDF on the recipients’ computers. You probably should change the problematic texture beds to a plain color or a less dense texture.
  2. You should also always run the PDF through a website like I Love PDF to compress the file size before emailing. It can also help resolve issues like this.

Note: It also looks like your signature is out of date since you said you’re using MacOS 15.4.1 Sequoia. What Vw version are you using? (I’m guessing not Vw2018, which is not compatible with MacOS 15).
