markdd
Is it the .lit you are worried about? If so, then in a worksheet you can remove the .lit part by using this formula. SUBSTRING('Lighting Device'.'Fixture Mode', '.', 1)) Quote Link to comment

SUBSTRING('Lighting Device'.'Fixture Mode', '.', 1)) I used to use this field to assign the correct personality to the chosen fixture. This allowed me to document things for the warehouse/on-site team. In the past I could choose a Fixture Mode/Personality and the fixture would automatically update the DMX footprint for addressing and exporting to a visualizer or MA. Has this changed? If you look at the attached, there isn't even a relevant option for the fixture type chosen. Quote Link to comment
markdd
I have just added the same instrument to a clean file and this is what I have. This gives me a DMX footprint of 297.... The Symbols find these values using the Fixture Mode field in the Light Info Record that is attached to the Symbol. If you are using older symbols, this may not be current. If in doubt, you can select Other and then search for the correct mode. Quote Link to comment

Vectorworks, Inc Employee JustinVanHassel Posted Tuesday at 04:43 PM Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted Tuesday at 04:43 PM Those modes are linked to the Vision modes. Make sure you have the latest Vision Content Update and then relaunch Vectorworks to get the latest modes. Quote Link to comment

Vectorworks, Inc Employee JustinVanHassel Posted Tuesday at 06:09 PM Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted Tuesday at 06:09 PM Vision will have the latest modes and running that update command is the quickest way to get all the latest modes and Vision fixtures. Vectorworks will receive the new modes that are currently in Vision in a future update so it will be a longer wait than just going the Vision route. Quote Link to comment
