Mickey
I'm having a new issue. I'm trying to do some rendering, and I go to focus some lights, simple ETC Lustr2. This should be easy stuff. Lights inserted, drop a focus, turn on light, draw beam. Nope The focus is a vertical draw beam even though "use vertical beam" is unchecked. I tried checking, unchecking Replace light all kinds of fun stuff. So I started a blank drawing. Dropped in a single fixture, and a focus point, turned on draw beam, and slap. Vertical beam. I have another drawing that is older, a save as from 2024 actually, that does not behave this way. Is there some setting somewhere that forces fixtures to use vertical beams? I've never seen it. See attached. There's a vwx25 file, and I added a screen shot in case the file opens and behaves normally for you. lame lights.vwx Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee klinzey Posted March 17 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted March 17 In this example the beam is drawn vertically automatically because if drawn horizontally the edge of the beam would go to infinity, or almost infinity within a reasonable distance. In this case we automatically draw the beam vertically. Quote Link to comment
Mickey
That makes sense in a 90° angle At what angle do you automatically switch to a vertical beam? In the drawing I have the issue I have pipe and base at 14' shooting at a 2' high stage. Quote Link to comment
