Flair-Studio
Is there a way to export the content of a keynote legent to a worksheet (and then to excel) without having to save the notes into a database? THank you Quote Link to comment
1 Pat Stanford
Easiest is probably to make a VW Worksheet of the Calouts and then export that to Excel. For the most basic 2 column Legend (Identifier and Text) the functions would be something like: Create a database row of Type is Callout. In the first column header enter a formula of ='Callout'.'Keynote Idenitfier' In the second column header enter a formula of ='Callout'.'Text' You may have to manually type the Callout.text formula rather than use the formula builder. Ask again and post a sample if you need more help. 2 Quote Link to comment
0 Flair-Studio
@Pat Stanford sorry what is the fastest way to export the content of a keynote legend please? Should I save all the entries in a one-off (project based) database? Is there an alternative like a script? Many thanks Quote Link to comment

Sorry one last question: if there are multipe keynote legends in a file, how do you set the criteria to chose just one? I tried to assign the legend to a different class but it didn't work. 0 markdd
Why not add Selection State - Is Selected to the search criteria? Quote Link to comment
0 Pat Stanford
As @markdd suggested use a Selected criteria. Or if they are on different layers, specify the layer. Or give the legend a Name in the OIP and use the Name criteria. Or Class. Or attach a record and use the presence of the record or a field value in the record. Or set the fill or line color and use that or ..... 😉 2 Quote Link to comment
