Improvement in AutoSave Functionality

I'd like to be able to specify a path for autosave files in the prefs dialog. That way I could have all my users write a local backup to their machine rather than putting the backups on the network file server.

Besides saving space on the file server it would add an extra layer of redundancy to the backup scheme

I'll second that. will reduce a lot of network traffic too.

The only downside to this beneficial scheme... if the Preference File somehow gets corrupted.

Currently, the app defaults natively to a concatenated FilePath assuring the correct Back-up storage.

This improvement would be great.

i don't see the downside as any reason not to do it.

It's not like we can't work arround the problem. a Smart folder searching for folders named VWBackup would the trick, and let you know a machines needs some repair.

Also would be good to have Backup and Autosave as seperate options each with the own schedule.
