Jack Wallington
Hello, I was wondering if there is a way of giving a Hedgeline a 3D texture? To make it appear fluffier and less blocky. I have tried adding an image to hedges in the model I'm working on, but for some reason they go completely transparent (I've attached screen grabs showing this), which I haven't worked out yet. But perhaps there is a better 3D texture I can use? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Mike Lamb Posted March 4 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted March 4 Hi Jack, if you select the hedge and go to the render tab in the object info palette, you can assign it a texture there. Hope this helps. Mike 2 Quote Link to comment
Tom W.
@Jack Wallington have a look at these textures in Visualisation > Renderworks Textures in the VW Libraries: One of the weird + not particularly great things about Hedgerows is that if you give them a Gradient in 2D they lose their texture + display as wireframe in 3D... Solid Fill or Hatch Fill are fine, just not a Gradient Fill. 2 Quote Link to comment

VIRTUALENVIRONS
@Jack Wallington@Amanda McDermott My apologies for the late response, out shopping. This is an imported image texture comprised of two textures and needs some explanation. I will post the texture and a short video later today or tomorrow. Quote Link to comment

Tom W.
The textures in two of the VW library files listed above have displacement mapping. A Hedgerow object can’t have filleted edges unfortunately which gives your object @VIRTUALENVIRONS a big advantage. Quote Link to comment
