Thanks all for theses suggections. My case was a general simple exemple, the reality is a bit different and more complex.

All your solutions made me learn new tricks

With the clip tool, it works well fo a circle (or arc) but if I have a polyline or an oval as the clipping shape, I can't figure how it could work.

The convert to polygon method is good but I loose the smoothness since the polygon is a series of straight lines. For this case it is absolutly fine, I am just thinkng about other situations.

And the duplicate along path method is very good too, just not applicable in my case now but I will keep it in mind.

Many thanks for you support

It works with a Polyline as well, you'd just need to redraw the Arc rather than convert it

You could also do this using Modify - Trim, which would even work with keeping the Arc object as an Arc or even use something like an oval in the middle.

Oval inside field of lines

Run Modify - Trim and be careful just to click on the Oval object.

Use Alt + marquee selection to select all interior lines
