I thought it was worth asking here on the off chance that someone here has had this happen and found a solution.
I am currently running VW2024 SP7 with no real issues.
When VW asks me if I want to check for updates I click yes, and it shows me that SP8 is available. I then give the go ahead and the updater opens. It then tells me I need to close VW which I dutifully do. It then gives me the option to retry the install of SP8 which I click, and it does noting - still comes up with the same error message and won't install it.
I have tried restarting my computer, then opening the installer without first opening VW, and it still comes up with the same problem - even though VW very clearly is not open.
I have tried contacting support, and apart from telling me to try opening the installer first (which I have done), the only suggestion was to update to VW2025 which I don't want to do at this point.
Anyone else had this happen and found a solution? It probably doesn't really matter if I don't update as VW is working fine at the moment anyway - I think it is partly that I found the response from Support to be a bit underwhelming.
