Project file, unnecessary check out?

Berntsen

Question

Hey,

We have quite a large project file and are experiencing a strange issue.

There are some lighting pipes in the drawing, and everyone in the project file needs to check them out in order to make any changes. Even if I just want to turn off a class in a viewport from an Xref file, I still need to check out the lighting pipes—despite the fact that they have nothing to do with the classes I want to turn on or off.

Is this a known issue?

I have struggled with the same every time I do a project file. I end up in here or with support with few or any at all answers on how to overcome those issues.

Just turning on or off classes requires to check out certain objects.

Project sharing does not work particularly well for spotlight.
