Need help putting white highlight behind dimensioning text

JunoA.

Question

Hello! I need help getting that white highlight behind the dims text like I have behind the normal text (Image below). It usually appears automatically when I put in dims, but It is not happening on this file. I am sure I just unclicked a checkbox somewhere but I can't figure out how to bring it back. I tried clicking the box text option but the border around the box is not what I'm looking for.

The fill behind the text in a Dimension is just like any other text object and is controlled by the Attributes palette. If you draw a Dimension when the Fill is set to None, then the text portions of the dim will have no fill.

Select the dimensions and set the Fill back to Solid and make sure the Fill Color is set to White.

Alternatively, you can set the Fill and Color in the Dimension Class and then set your Dimensions to Use Class Attributes. That way you will always get the fill even if you have the drawing default fill set to None.
