rDesign
@JuanP I've had this happen before from time-to-time on the Forum where I cannot see a link in someone's post, as in THIS post by @Pat Stanford. I remember it also happened for me in a post from @Matt Panzer a few months ago... Instead of seeing the link they posted, it just says the following: Any idea what is causing this? Is it just me that this is happening to? I am logged in to the Forum. I think I have only seen it happen in posts by Moderators, if that's of any help in diagnosing. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
0 Pat Stanford
That was my fault. I posted a link to the private Beta Forum into the general forum. I need to be more careful to not do that. And I just broke my NDA by saying that I have access to the Beta forum. 😉 2 Quote Link to comment
0 Pat Stanford
I just edited the original post to include the most critical part instead of the link to the thread. 2 Quote Link to comment
0 rDesign
Thanks Pat for the clarification: Accidents will Happen! So, I guess that might explains the other times that I've seen it happen? Like in this thread by @Matt Panzer linking to a VWUniv class. I also found another post of mine from 2020 where I linked to a KB article on resetting Vw Preferences, which also has the same 'Sorry' graphic. Maybe it is a KB article that doesn't have the proper permissions? Thanks. Quote Link to comment
0 Pat Stanford
I don't know explicitly why other items won't post. It looks like maybe the Coffee Break has either been retired (if they decided it was out of date enough or that there is now something better) or maybe has bad permissions applied. Or that you have to be logged in to be able to see it (most likely). And it looks like the KBase article has been hidden because it is from 2016 and very out of date. Web links are a fragile thing. If you really want something make sure it is on your "disk" (SSD/Magnetic/Cloud) and remember, nothing is backed up until there are at least three copies on at least two different types of media in at least two geographically separate physical locations. 😉 2 Quote Link to comment
