mikeakar
Below I have a curved counter (in yellow) that will need curved tubular supports. I would like to create a path to then extrude my geometry along the path. I tried to compose these lines to create a continuous line for my path, however they do not join. How do I go about this? The black lines are curved polylines, following the geometry of the counter, the red lines are lines perpendicular to the floor. Thank you! Quote Link to comment
Kevin Allen
are those plain old lines, or did you use the poly line tool? Quote Link to comment

VIRTUALENVIRONS
I think you have to post the file please 1 Quote Link to comment

VIRTUALENVIRONS
Is this what you are looking for. Quote Link to comment
Kevin Allen
I don't think the lines are properly aligned. Once aligned, they need to be converted to NURBS and then composed. Then you can extrude along the path. Quote Link to comment
VIRTUALENVIRONS
@Kevin Allen I looks like the curves were made from 2D curves so I did the conversion to NURBS and joined an offset point. The clean curve is enclosed.COUNTER CURVE.vwx 1 Quote Link to comment

VIRTUALENVIRONS
@mikeakar There were a couple of things that were problematic.. All lines, curves, etc. need to be connected. Below are two screen shots of the offending geometry, but after I corrected that, compose still would not work. Try it and see what happens for an explanation. I converted all your polylines to NURBS curves (Convert to NURBS) and then "Compose". It worked as it should. Polylines are primarily a 2D tool. They don't convert well to other geometry.
