Class selection issue

Hi,

When i try to place a class to a part of the fence tool i can only select 1 then the dialogue box closes, so if your class is deep within the class hierarchy its a pain.

Am i doing something wrong?

It looks like you're using the local (AUS-NZ) Draw Handrails tool rather than the VW Fence Tool so only a limited number of people will be able to comment. But have you tried searching or filtering the classes to speed up the process?

Out of interest, are you finding you still prefer the Draw Handrails tool over the new (VW24) Fence tool...?

You instantly get the option to choose a fence style and so simple to send to surface etc etc etc.

HI, Which VW tool are you referring to? 

There are a few and i seem to still have the Aus one.

The Aus one is called Draw handrails.

Is this now incorporated into the Global version?? and i dont know it.

Since VW2024 VW has separate Fence + Railing tools. Prior to this there was a single Railing/Fence tool. The new Fence tool is far superior. I'd be very surprised if you don't have these tools too. In fact I'm sure you were asking about the Fence Tool in another thread. This is why I questioned your subsequent post about Draw Handrails.

 

The rest of us have never had access to Draw Handrails although I was aware of it. I am just interested to know if Draw Handrails has any advantages over the Fence Tool + if so what they are.

Alan, I would try to use the new railing or fence tools. These new tools are very flexible and build on the ANZ tools. 

The fence and the railing are very powerful and can be used in many situations. Try changing to the standard Architect workspace if you have it so that you can find the railing and the fence tools.

Looks like you already have Railing in your Workspace.
