Tracy Peterson
I loaded pretty much every piece of content into my system once I started my subscription. It was my understanding that this would enable my access to all of the content and an extensive manufacturer database. The "extensive manufacturer database" doesn't seem to have a vast majority of common components and most of what I work with. No Ross video? No Blackmagic? No Barco EM products? No Decimators? Could someone help me either find libraries that fill these gaps or show me how to get the full database? I'm hopeful that I don't have to create my own symbols for everything I use, there are far cheaper products that have larger databases. Quote Link to comment
Thomas K.
Hi have you had a look at the device builder tool that comes with the connected workspace? There you will find a lot black magic equipment. See screenshot attached. 1 Quote Link to comment

So yeah, I think I'm doing it wrong, I'll look closer at device builder specifically, I couldn't find this list before using the connectcad workspace. Quote Link to comment
Thomas_
So it definitely is part of the ConnectCAD workspace, and even part of the Spotlight Workspace these days (In VW2025) I believe. For schematic design, you would use the device builder tool, and then tell it which device Manufacturer/Model you want, it should give you a pretty extensive (But in no way complete) list of available premade options. And it is relatively building equipment in htere, or you can do so with the 'Create Equipment' command and drop in connectors etc. If you are looking for 3D symbols, there is a good collection available in the Resource Manager, but I would still plan on having to make some of your own as well. If you haven't already I would encourage you to go to the Vectorworks University and check out some of the presentations on ConnectCAD there, for instance this may be useful if you are just starting out: https://university.vectorworks.net/enrol/index.php?id=3205 Quote Link to comment
