Remove leaders from Existing Trees

Question

The tag/shoulder/leader is automated for Existing Trees.

I could remove the Tag from the Obj Info Palette. The shoulder disappeared, too.

I am able to remove the leader.

I've followed directions shared here in the Forum by Users and Staff, alike.  Searched Youtube & Google. Cannot find directions specific to the leader.

One guide was to right click the Existing Tree and then click "Delete Leader", but my right click does not show "Delete Leader", nor is the leader separate from the tree. Selecting the leader highlights the leader AND the Existing Tree.

Another advised to create the tag in a Class separate from the Existing Tree -- but the tag/shoulder/leader CAME with the Existing Tree. How do I separate them?

Is there a more obvious way of deleting all three components? It's far too busy with them. pic here

I solved the issue myself through a lot of tinkering, and I think it's worth recognizing in the Vectorworks Forum and in Vectorworks Help, as others have been stymied by this in the past, and none of the answers I encountered solved the issue. Try this:

  1. Select all of the Existing Trees for which you will hide the leader.
  2. In the OIP, click "Tag & Number Options..."
  3. When the Dialog Box opens, select "Snap tag to edge of trunk" and "Selected Objects on Active Layer only"

This removed all lines associated with leaders, shoulders, tags, etc, for a much cleaner presentation in forested areas for our project:
