VW2025 file open by two users at the same time

Hi all,

We’ve been experiencing an odd issue in our office since updating to VW 2025. Occasionally, more than one user can access the same file without any warning popping up. you only  realised it happened when one user is unable to save their file. 

 

I’ve read in past discussions that this happened in mixed PC and Mac environments, but we’re all on PCs. 

Has anyone experienced a similar issue or could offer advice on what to check or troubleshoot?

@Charr we experienced the same when working on the Vectorworks Cloud Service. Multiple people could work in the same file and save as well, resulting in a lot of frustration and lost work. Sometimes we would see a new file in the map it was stored in with (SERVER CONFLICT) behind the filename, but not always.

Don't know if this is the case with you, but we're migrating everything back to local servers as that seems to resolve the multiple people access problem.
