Attribute Palette

I would like to see the attribute palette incorporated into the object info palette. When no objects are selected then show the defaults. It should be in the shape tab under all other shape info for the object.

I agree, if not as an alternative running along the mode bar much the same as Photoshop and word processer programs do when changing tools, fonts etc, using up that wasted area above the drawing area only taken up by a few icons

I think the Attributes palette is great just as it is now -- a little tiny palette that's needed constantly and that does a huge job, out of all proportion to its size, because it's so graphically oriented.

As such, it can be kept open all the time, unlike the Object Info palette, which takes up a huge amount of space and doesn't do anything that can't be done faster by means that don't use any screen space.

If the Attributes can somehow be neatly placed on that bar that identifies the current tool and its current mode, as I assume Alan is suggesting, that might be even better than the present palette. But there might be people who don't keep the Attributes pallette open and who would rather see that space used for something else.
