Polygons cast white shadows on each other in Top/Plan 2D

Snacks

Question

I'm not sure how this happened, but in a drawing I've been working on with another person, suddenly elements are casting white faded shadows on each other when in 2D Plan view. I'm hoping this is just a setting that can be turned off that my collaborator switched on by accident.

I'm concerned this will make prints look really unprofessional.

Sorry to provide so little information. I don't really know how this happened.

Attaching a screenshot of the offending behavior and also the entire nearly 1gig .vwx.

As Dave has said it's because when you have nothing selected you have set the default attributes for everything subsequently drawn to have a white drop shadow:

I'm adding to this because also you have 6 or more duplicates of objects on top of each other such as this instrument below (with a black rectangle drawn underneath). This needs sorting out and would contribute greatly to the file's large size.
