Notation PIO Organization

Question

The drawing label PIO has its length adjusted on the OIP. Likewise its text size. When copied and pasted into layers of different scales the output size remains constant -no matter whether scale text is selected in the layer scale or not. Same if changing the scale of the current layer.

The benchmark PIO has its length adjusted by dragging. The text is controlled through the text menu. If the layer scale is changed with the scale text box checked the text changes size but the length remains at the previous scale. If the layer scale is changed with the scale text unchecked the text remains a constant size but the length changes relative to the scale. There is no method where they both remain at the same output size together.

Now, when copied and pasted to a different layer of differing scale it doesn't matter whether the scale text is checked or not, the benchmark PIO will act as if the scale text box is checked.

Same with the callout PIO.

Same with the reference marker PIO.

There is some consistency that could be requested on a number of levels.

1) Pasting or moving between layers or drawings of different scale should treat PIOs the same as changing the scale of the layer they are on given a consistency in other factors.

2) Text size should be either controlled on the OIP or not.

3) PIO size should be either controlled on the OIP or not.

4) When changing scale either in the same layer or when moving a PIO from a layer of one scale to one of another, there should at least be an option to have the PIO remain at the same output scale. Right now the only PIO of those mentioned above that does this is the drawing label.
