Get rid of Plane visualize pink box

This pink box sometimes pops up, but not always.

I like to take snaps of things for emails and this topic.

The only way I know of getting rid of it is to choose top plan view and back to this view and render again.

Is there another way ??

The pink box indicates you've activated a Working Plane. My preferred way to get back to the layer plane is to always have the Working Plane palette open (Window > Palettes > enable Working Planes) + then double-click on 'Active Layer Plane'. I wish there was an easier way though. Another way is to activate a 2D tool (Line, Rectangle, etc) then you can toggle from Working Plane to Layer Plane on the mode bar (top LH corner). I don't understand why this option is greyed-out the rest of the time but I'm sure there's a reason...

@markdd's reminder re the Working Planes sub-menu prompted me to give the command a keyboard shortcut so now I have an even quicker option

This method worked to turn it off for me, but it would almost immediately turn back on. I found this in another response to a similar question. This solved it permanently for me. 

 

"You can also change the color and opacity of the Working Plane in Vectorworks Preferences under Interactive Appearance Settings."

 

I set all settings to all the way to the left and it went away.
