Get rid of Plane visualize pink box

The pink box indicates you've activated a Working Plane. My preferred way to get back to the layer plane is to always have the Working Plane palette open (Window > Palettes > enable Working Planes) + then double-click on 'Active Layer Plane'. I wish there was an easier way though. Another way is to activate a 2D tool (Line, Rectangle, etc) then you can toggle from Working Plane to Layer Plane on the mode bar (top LH corner). I don't understand why this option is greyed-out the rest of the time but I'm sure there's a reason...

This method worked to turn it off for me, but it would almost immediately turn back on. I found this in another response to a similar question. This solved it permanently for me. 

 

"You can also change the color and opacity of the Working Plane in Vectorworks Preferences under Interactive Appearance Settings."

 

I set all settings to all the way to the left and it went away.
