Grade objects should be able to snap to other site modifiers in z-value

We have a Landmark user here in Norway who wants a way for get a grade object to snap to another site modifier in z-value.

 

This could be very useful when designing and you need to adjust heights of site modifiers based on other site modifiers you have already drawn. Retrieving height from the model itself does not work here as the grade object with the wrong height helps define the model and thus also gives the wrong height.

 

Grade objects should be able to snap to site modifiers in open edge line mode in the same way they are able to snap to other grades…

Totally agree with this request. In fact, I think all of the "modifiers" whether they are actual Site Modifer objects, Grade object working as site modifiers, Stakes set as site modifers, etc. should all work together in a much more harmonious way. Linking them is an obvious first step, but another is the ability to "lock" particular grade constraints (i.e. 2% max slope, 8.33% max slope, etc) and have the network respond accordingly.
