Ed Wachter
Can anyone see what I'm doing wrong here (if anything). I place a working plane and then attempt to place geometry on that plane, but the shapes I'm drawing are snapping down to much a lower plane. Coincidentally, the lower plane appears to be about the correct elevation value, but with a negative sign. Please see attached graphic. Thanks, Ed Quote Link to comment
markdd
It looks like you are working from a multi-pane view. Have you tried in a normal View? Quote Link to comment
Ed Wachter
Yes, I was working in a floating view pane. I had better luck when I closed that pane and worked with only one pane open. I've encountered this multiple times before. I'll start paying attention to how many view panes I have open, and which one I'm working in. Thanks, Ed Quote Link to comment
Ed Wachter
I still frequently find that geometry that I am placing goes somewhere else besides the Working Plane. What are the variables that affect when the Working Plane is active? I assumed that if the Working Plane is visible then that's where new shapes would be placed. I'm currently working in 2023. Maybe it will get better in later versions. Ed Quote Link to comment
