This is probably so minor to most that its not worth the words to describe it, but sometimes it would be of great value.
When working with a 2D drawing loaded with fills, images, or filled hatches and you want to select a few items to adjust with the 2D reshape tool, in order to marquee the desired vertices you have to find a spot in the vicinity that has no fill or you are unable to begin either the rectangular or lassoo marquee. You can temporarily cut or group or otherwise isolate items but, well, . . . when all the other wish list items are completed to everyone's satisfaction maybe one programmer could play with this one.
