Vectorworks, Inc Employee Nikolay Zhelyazkov Posted December 2, 2024 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted December 2, 2024 Hello @Ben3B, The classes in the Classes pane of the cable settings dialog are not about the data tags, they are about the cable run ID label placed by the cable. The Data Tags created by the cable will be placed either in the cable's class or the class specified in the data tag style options. If you want the data tags to be in the cable's class, then you have to select Active Class in the data tag style options. Otherwise, the data tag will take the class from the data tag style. Ben3B
Ok my bad, I think I understand. there is cable object datatag, who only report run ID label, by default vectorworks put 3 "object datatag" one at start one in yhe middle and one at the end . I can set the class where those "object datatag" will be in. and we can set "real" datatags who can be different, and set the place where those datatags will be, and their class are set by the datatag's preferences :) it's very confusing :( (because of the setting in the same place ;) ) Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee jcogdell Posted December 12, 2024 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted December 12, 2024 @Ben3B This looks like a bug that slipped in when the cable style dialogue was reworked for 2025, I've opened a bug report to have it addressed. 1 Quote Link to comment
