Stefan B.
Hey, I have a set of 3D objects that i would like to "curve" in the end. While the Split and subtract tool is perfect, it does not work in an Arc or with several objects in one go. So what is the best practise to do what I'm trying? I do understand i can do the tedious work of doing it piece by piece, but there must be another way? I want to cut all objects below this arc and delete them: Quote Link to comment
VIRTUALENVIRONS
Are these hybrid objects or standard 3D models? Quote Link to comment
Stefan B.
Just 3D objects Quote Link to comment
line-weight
Good question ... I often come up against this and have never found a solution, other than the tedious one of doing each object individually. It's possible to make a solid addition of all the objects you want to cut, and then do a subtraction/intersection on the resultant object, which will cut everything in one go, but then it's all lumped together as one solid object and the attributes of the individual parts are lost. VIRTUALENVIRONS
If you use the solid subtraction method, your original work will remain in "edit solid". As long as you don't "convert to generic solids" you should be OK. Quote Link to comment

Not in a useful way, though, if you want the attributes of the original objects to be applied to the result of the subtraction. Quote Link to comment
