Marco Sirone
Hi, just wondering if there is a way to subtract multiple solids from one object at one time instead of clicking one solid at a time. If there is it would make things a lot less time consuming! Thanks Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
sure, select all the objects and subtract solids. 1 Quote Link to comment
VIRTUALENVIRONS
If you have a lot of objects and you want a simplified history, then select all the object you want subtracted and then use "add solids". Objects do not need to touch or intersect to be added together. This creates one object out of many So now when you use subtract solids, you are only working with two object. You can still use edit functions to change or modify the "add solids" group. Quote Link to comment
VIRTUALENVIRONS
Did a quick demo, the text version of my explanation was confusing even to me. Quote Link to comment
Marco Sirone
Sorry guys, may have worded it wrong but what I want is to subtract the circle from the facade panel (See screenshot). All those battens are individual extrudes and was wondering if it was possible to chose all the battens that the circle extrude passes through at once instead of one by one. Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
Select the battens and Add Solids to make them a single object. Then do the Subtraction. 1 Quote Link to comment
VIRTUALENVIRONS
If you post the file, it will be easier. Unless there is something I am missing (which is quite possible). you should be able to select all of the battens and even thought they are not touching, you can do an add solids. This should make them all one object. Then you do a subtract solids with just two objects. But.....post the file. 1 Quote Link to comment
