Repeated Single Model Specialist Needed

Recommended Posts

No, 10 identical units does not mean 10 layers.

Model the building once. On a different layer, create a design layer viewport of the building layer. Duplicate this viewport and adjust the height. Repeat as many times as necessary.

If you model the entire building in one layer, you could have a file with only two layers. One for the building, one for site model and the Design Layer Viewports. But you are probably going to want more than that.

You do have to control the layer visibilities. Each DLVP has its own layer visibility control. So when you are working on the site model layer you will want to set the building model layer to invisible in the overall file, but visible in the DLVP.

One massing model on a single design layer. Two DLVPs of that model at different elevations and rotations on a second design layer.
