TeeMuki
Hello, is there a way to force colors to be the given values? I try to set this color in the Attributes panel. Picture 1. When i give the correct color codes (RGB, CMYK or HEX), it shows the right color in Custom tab's small "preview window". Picture 2. But when i hit apply the color changes to something different? I tried to use different color palettes, restart program and restart computer without any success. I think the issue is not at my end... Or is there some setting that i'm missing? How to fix this? Currently running Vectorworks 2024 update 7. Please help! 😄 Quote Link to comment
TeeMuki
I did some quick try with Vectorworks 2025 update 2, and this seems to be fixed in the current version... Would be nice to have this fixed also in the 2024 version, but this might not be possible? Quote Link to comment
Tom W.
It's working for me in VW2024 Update 7...? 1 Quote Link to comment
TeeMuki
Hmm, the problem actually still exists for our whole office. When we open a new blank file in Vectorworks 2025 the colors are working, but when we open files that have started in Vectorworks 2024 the colors are not working. This problem is now atleast on 5 different computers and licences... Now i did open up a new blank file in Vectorworks 2024 and the colors are working, but on our projectfiles they are not working... Below again one example Blank file opened in Vwx 2024/2025 colors are correct The same rectangles copied to our projectfiles (opened in Vwx 2024/2025) looks like this What can cause this? Is there a way to set up some colormodels (RGB/CMYK etc..) for the project, because it seems like this would be a simplified colormodel... Does the import dwg maybe somehow change this colormodel to a simplified one? Please help, this is actually a big problem for our office right now... Quote Link to comment
TeeMuki
Maybe this problem has the same rootproblem as in this post below: https://forum.vectorworks.net/index.php?/topic/92129-color-palette-migration-to-vw2022-change-colors/ Edited November 27, 2024 by TeeMuki Quote Link to comment

Is there some work on it, it is the same here and particularly annoying hen producing charts at so on, we have to redo everything in illustrator to get the right colors. Vectorworks, Inc Employee Katarina Ollikainen Posted December 19, 2024 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted December 19, 2024 @Felix_, honestly, I don't know. I'll add it to Jira - if it's already reported it will just be added to that bug. 1 Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Katarina Ollikainen Posted December 20, 2024 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted December 20, 2024 @TeeMuki, Hello, can you please send me some sample files where we can see this difference? The engineers are looking at this issue but couldn't reproduce it, so it would be great with the file you're showing here. Thanks. 1 Quote Link to comment

Poot
@Katarina Ollikainen I'm not at my computer for the next week, but here's a link to a post I made with similar issue on color displaying incorrectly (especially when using palettes like farrow & ball) https://forum.vectorworks.net/index.php?/topic/119795-colour-fills-display-as-grey/ There should be a file linked. 1 Quote Link to comment
