bcoe
Our office has a template file which we use to start each new project and the file has preconfigured classes with specific graphical properties (line colour and weight, hatches, text style etc.) It works okay but it would be even better if the class setup was incorporated into the Standard Naming feature. However running the command overrides all of the graphical properties and I can't figure out how to put the preferred graphical settings into the Standard Naming Class worksheet. Any pointers?? 1 Quote Link to comment
shorter
You don't need to do this via the standard naming feature. Set up a file with your classes in and save in the 'Standards' folder in the practice workgroup folder. It should live in Libraries/Defaults/Standards. Then everyone gets access to the office classes and pick and choose which class they want to use. If you want all files to contain a specific set of classes, you can reference a library of classes in. If you are concerned and frustrated about vectorworks auto-classes such as 'Sills', and 'Ceiling-Main', join the club! This is something that will always crop up again and again, and only good resource and template management will cure it. 2 Quote Link to comment
