Safari as default browser

VectorWorks Help does not work for me if Safari is the default browser. Using the F1 key works the first time it is used only if you quit Safari before hitting the key.

I have to quit Safari every time before trying to use Help. If I'm in VectorWorks Help and want change the topic all I get is the title page.

Needless to say I make sure my default browser is Internet Explorer when VectorWorks is in use.

I am using Safari and VW and the VW help works fine. I do note that while VW Help loads that I see a Java symbol. And I do remember installing a Java update.

Try using your software update and see if you are current on your system software. BTW, I have heard that there are some issues with Safari and 103.9, so you might want to use 10.3.8 for now.

Nothing to do with above subject but I changed my default browser from IE to Safari recently as it uses long file names. Thus if I want to save any of the topics on this Tech Board I can do it without having to edit the IE "Save As" title. It is a breeze. And it works fine with VW help too.

I tried updating both Java and Safari with no positive result.

Meanwhile have found that using Netscape as default browser results in VW Help loading in a fraction of the time it takes Explorer to load.
