Shutter cuts misaligned on rotated fixture

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

When I do a shutter cut on a leko that is rotated it shows 2 shapes of the beam. It seems to go away when the light is not selected and the view is changed, but this makes it really difficult when trying to focus the light. Anyone else experience this? Any way to fix it?

Using VW 2025.

"It also looks like if you use the "Lamp Rotation Angle" the projected light does not actually rotate"

This sounds like how I would expect that to behave. I understand Lamp rotation to be for PAR lamps.

It sounds to me like you are looking to rotate the lens tube like you can with an ETC Source 4 Lekp or rotate the shutter assembly with a moving light.

I don't know of a way to do this in Spotlight.

Hi @TomWhiteLight,

I suspect it is a bug in 2025 with the double beam. I tested it in 2024 and it did not do that. I love the new sliders for changing the shutters though.

Yes, I was trying to rotate the lens tube. It's a little deceiving because when you have "Draw Beam" on, the beam rotates but the light doesn't. That one is not a huge deal for me though.
