Hi, we have got some ESD Lumen SP3.9mm Video wall.

 

We have got the step files for the screen, header bars, airframes and ground support.  The step files are too detailed to open in VW.  I am wondering if they can be created as a symbol library item.

When you say too detailed, do you mean too many polygons or they just will not import?

@IlluminateYour request has been received and has been entered into our internal tracking system as CD-5238. The release of the Vectorworks native library will be in a future update in the active version of the English International version of the software but I cannot offer any timeframe at this point. I do need to qualify that we will have to get a signed partnership agreement in place with the manufacturer in order to produce the files as we cannot provide any content that the manufacturer agrees to let us use their IP. Feel free to use the provided CD number when reaching out to tech support and they will be able to provide any status updates. The CAD Content team will also provide status updates on this thread when production begins and when release has been scheduled.

This all sounds positive, We can help with the supplier if needed to get the agreements in place.  Is there any way to pay for these library items to be create?

@IlluminateThank you for the offer to assist with getting the supplier on board with adding the content. If needed, someone will reach out to you for your assistance. It is free for manufacturers to have their content added to the software and there are several paths for development and delivery that can be used.
