matthewdrury
I've created a row of racks in the 3D Layout design layer. They are different models of racks, but only differ in width. They are all placed at the same base elevation and are all touching each other. When I select all five racks and choose "Create Rack Elevations", it creates 2 viewports--one with the first 4 racks and one with the last rack. I can't seem to get this to create a single rack elevation viewport. Any ideas? Quote Link to comment
spettitt
I'm not sure of the reason for your issue. I'm sure one of the VW team will have more insight. But what I would say to keep you going is that the Create Rack Elevation command is just an automated process of creating and placing Section Viewports (and a nice one, at that). But once they exist, you're welcome to edit them however you need to like any Section Viewport, i.e. making the section line wider to accommodate the extra rack. Have a look at the options in the OIP and you'll find a way to not limit the view by section line length - and it will show the full width of the whole design. You could then crop this back down to your sheet if needed. Edited October 30, 2024 by spettitt 2 Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Nikolay Zhelyazkov Posted October 31, 2024 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted October 31, 2024 Hello @matthewdrury, Make sure that the last rack is touching the one next to it, try moving it away and then back snapped to the other rack and see if this helps. If not, can you please send me this file in a PM and I will look into it. Best Regards, Nikolay Zhelyazkov 1 Quote Link to comment
